Gary was away recently so I took a call from Peter at a Local Civil Construction company Hick Bros which are developing a new subdivision just outside Orewa up here in the big smoke.
They had been told they should be using a Crystal logger – Sale done! whats your order number - but after talking for a few more minutes – this sounded interesting so I said I would come up and demonstrate the unit and leave it with them – So yesterday I took Gary's truck up and went for a 4WD drive over the subdivision. They were installing a water ring main for the subdivision and needed to pressure test it. Nothing new here. Read More

On a number of occasions we get asked how good are the Crystal digital gauges? I find this a hard question to answer from an unbiased point of view.
But I got asked this recently and it reminded me of an incident a while back when I was showing Melanie (my new girlfriend, back then) around CPS in the early days of our relationship. Calibration of 8 year old XP2i  Digital Gauge

Just completed the 9th Calibration of a 30 bar Crystal Engineering XP2i gauge. What surprised me about this particular calibration, is that this gauge is over 8 years old and has been rented out in excess of 100 times during this time. This gauge has been abused and dropped. I'm sure it's done a hell at lot of work and is still going strong after 8 years. But what really blew me away are these results... Read More
